The name Wimbledon makes the heart race: the centre court with its incredible spectators, the green grass, the players’ white uniforms as they face off to win the coveted trophy and . . . the winner’s eternal glory, complete with the trophy presented by the Royal family.

A mix of technique, class, shrewdness, and physical prowess: over time tennis has constantly evolved without losing its appeal. Instead it has become even more riveting and captivating.

The season begins in January with the Australian Open, and continues in the spring with the clay courts of Roland Garros in Paris. Next it’s the iconic grass at Wimbledon. There’s not even time to celebrate the winners of the world’s oldest tournament before heading to New York, where the Grand Slams end on the cement of the US Open.


The relentless pace, the intense emotions one after another, and the growing intensity all culminate at the ATP/WTA Finals, where the season’s best players face off to decide the athlete of the year.
